My happy moments in HR were the times I spent the night at Margie's.
Mr. and Mrs. Bryan always treated me as one of their family. Margie and
I stayed up talking and laughing about Clair Russell, the boy I liked,
and Jimmy Martz, the boy Margie liked
My sad moment was the day I found out I was not like Margie but a
"Jap." An American Indian girl, Betty, called that after December 7th.
She was always envious of me because Margie was my friend.
